GIOVANNI SCUPOLA
He was born in Specchia in 1953. Graduating in modern literature with a historical-artistic address, he dedicated his life to art to which he approached as a self-taught. He was able to pass on his passion to his pupils at the State Institute of Art of the city of Lecce.
He began to talk about himself in 1974 when he created his first public work "monument of the fallen" still present in Specchia (Le). He won the silver medal at the Winter Olympics with ice sculpture in Nagano (Japan) representing Italy.
His passion for sculpture and painting led him to experiment with numerous techniques (oil painting, frescoes, murals, sculpture, etc.) and materials (marble, wood, ice, Lecce stone, canvases, etc.). He has always been able to push further.
